Dr. NO

Ron Paul is called "Dr. No" for two reasons. He is a doctor, a pro-life pediatrician who has delivered over 4,000 babies.

His position statement on this vital issue reads:

The right of an innocent, unborn child to life is at the heart of the American ideals of liberty. My professional and legislative record demonstrates my strong commitment to this pro-life principle.

In 40 years of medical practice, I never once considered performing an abortion, nor did I ever find abortion necessary to save the life of a pregnant woman.

In Congress, I have authored legislation that seeks to define life as beginning at conception, HR 1094.

I am also the prime sponsor of HR 300, which would negate the effect of Roe v Wade by removing the ability of federal courts to interfere with state legislation to protect life. This is a practical, direct approach to ending federal court tyranny which threatens our constitutional republic and has caused the deaths of 45 million of the unborn.

I have also authored HR 1095, which prevents federal funds to be used for so-called “population control.”

Many talk about being pro-life. I have taken direct action to restore protection for the unborn.

As an OB/GYN doctor, I’ve delivered over 4,000 babies. That experience has made me an unshakable foe of abortion. Many of you may have read my book, Challenge To Liberty, which champions the idea that there cannot be liberty in a society unless the rights of all innocents are protected. Much can be understood about the civility of a society in observing its regard for the dignity of human life.

His is also called "Dr. No" because he always votes constitutionally, even if he is the only one. When a vote is 434-1, you can be assured that Ron Paul is the ONE.
AMERICA NEEDS A DOCTOR (certainly not another lawyer).

Dr. Ron Paul is a TEN term Representative from Texas. He has an unwavering record of supporting the Constitution. ALL of the candidates took an oath before God and man to support the Constitution. Ron Paul is the ONLY candidate, of either party, who has made good on his promise.

He stands for small federal government and State and individual rights.

Brief Overview of Congressman Paul’s Record:

He has never voted to raise taxes.

He has never voted for an unbalanced budget.

He has never voted for a federal restriction on gun ownership.

He has never voted to raise congressional pay.

He has never taken a government-paid junket.

He has never voted to increase the power of the executive branch.

He voted against the Patriot Act, which assaults American freedoms.

He voted against regulating the Internet.

He voted against the Iraq war, but in favor of pursuing al Qaeda and Osama bin Laden.

He does not participate in the lucrative congressional pension program.

He returns a portion of his annual congressional office budget to the U.S. treasury every year.

John McCain has never pretended to be a Constitutional conservative.

Rudy Julie-Annie has done more political cross-dressing than physical cross-dressing.

Willard Romney is so phony he doesn't even use his real name.

Fred Thompson has been shown to be a better actor as a politician than he was as an actor.

Sam Brownback, Duncan Hunter, and Mike Huckabee are not nearly as conservative as they claim to be, even if they are a little to the right of the previous four.

Tom Tancredo might honestly be able to be called a conservative, but we've seen there are a few serious reservations about him, including a pro-Roe vs. Wade vote, a gun grabber vote, several big spending bills, and giving dictatorial powers to the president - voting away our freedoms to keep the terrorists from getting them.

Is there ANYONE we can support who is a true, consistent, Constitutional conservative?

Stay Tuned ...

Nah. Fred "Shemp" Thompson is just as phony as the other Three Stooges. None of them are conservative. Fred keeps trying to pass himself off as a pro-lifer, but we see that not only has he spoken in favor of abortion several times, he was hired as a lobbyist by a PRO-ABORTION group.

Q: How do you know when a politician is lying?

A: His lips are moving.

Group Says It Hired Fred Thompson in Abortion Rights Bid

Former Senator Fred D. Thompson, who has positioned himself as an opponent of abortion rights as he prepares to run for president, was hired as a lobbyist 16 years ago by a group on the other side of the issue, according to documents and people involved with his hiring.

The group, the National Family Planning and Reproductive Health Association, hired Mr. Thompson in 1991, three years before he was elected to the Senate from Tennessee, as part of the group’s effort to overturn a ban on federally financed family planning clinics.

Thompson has also sometimes indicated that he opposes outlawing abortion.

In a questionnaire that he answered during his successful 1994 Senate campaign in Tennessee, Mr. Thompson or his campaign staff checked a box stating that he believed abortion should be legal under any circumstance during the first three months of a pregnancy.

In a televised debate the same year, Mr. Thompson appeared to tell the moderator that he personally disagreed with outlawing abortion. “Should the government come in and criminalize let’s say a young girl and her parents and her doctor?” Mr. Thompson said. “I think not.”

In addition, the Gannett News Service has reported that another questionnaire submitted during Mr. Thompson’s 1994 campaign contained a handwritten note that stated: “I do not believe abortion should be criminalized. This battle will be won in the hearts and souls of the American people.”
